I was listening to Sufjan Stevens "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" earlier tonight, which made me think of this photo I made this spring. It was in Tokyo, at one of Shinjuku Stations many entrances, some 3 million people walks in and out of this station every day. Here I saw this man. What makes him speciel? Well apart from the mans sympathetic face, Ole (my travel mate) was in Tokyo 2 years ago, where he made a great portrait of the exact same man, in a completely different area of Tokyo. What are the chances of randomly meeting the same guy, years apart, in this 35 million people metropole?
Have too see many of them regardless where I go. Also have took pictures when I have the opportunity.
One particular area at El Cajone Downtown, rather tall homeless. Took picture of him standing. Then waled away. Seen him again at the opposite of the street.
Compels me to give him a buck or two, His replay was "Thank you" in a merry tone!
My heart too goes out to those people lives in the street.
i was just in tokyo and I am pretty sure I saw this exact same man twice in shinjuku as well! did he shuffle his feet when he walked ?
