EU Foreign Aid by raun EU Foreign Aid by raun
The Foreign Aid of the European Union is a disgrace. We give small amounts of money (0,3-0,4% of the BNP) as foreign aid, pretending we want to ease the living standards in the developing countries. Fact is we give with one finger while the rest of our body does everything in its power to make life miserable for the poor people of this earth. Tariff walls, barbed wire borders, and extortionate rate of interests on the “development” loans we so generously have given the countries in need. Its obvious that the resources on this earth would too quickly be depleted if all human beings were allowed the luxuries we in the west consider our right. We want to keep them in their little box of eternal poverty. As a response we go “naanananaananaaaa Nana, look what I have and you dont! ” when we give them pocket money as foreign aid. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Why should world poverty and it's solving all lay in the hands of the western world? Colonialism could be argued, but also easily disputed if you know anything on the subject.

Throwing money around doesn't solve anything.

i don't understand this kind of propaganda.

what are we talking about ?
Is it EU aid or total of Europe country aid ?

i don't agree with making EU responsible for all.
Actually, more than 50 % of aid to third world is coming from EU.

It may be insufficient, but without it, it would be worst ever.

"Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely". It holds true on every level and we will see it happen again and again. It will never stop.

In Response to h3wi3htj4h and anyone else who feels the USA carries a greater blame in this problem:

Being from the USA, I couldn't be more disgusted with the greed. But I will say this: each and every country is following in our footsteps. What makes you think that your country will behave differently when you have power, money, control? It's human nature. We are not different humans than you are. So it's not about which country. It just so happens that the USA has more resources at this particular time. The USA was populated by people from ALL OVER, specifically the UK, African slaves, South Americans, Asians. We are everybody. So think about that when you point fingers at who is "more" to blame. Something HAS to change in EVERYBODY. Across the board. We are all to blame. If you have a computer to type on you are better off than the world poverty line and YOU have something to give yourself.

To raun: this is brilliant. :+fav:
